EXPERIENCE MATTERS

EXPERIENCE MATTERS

I’m Cody Louviere, and I have proudly served Acadiana as a member of the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office since 2002. My law enforcement career began as a Reserve Deputy at LPSO, where I volunteered my time to keep our community safe as a Patrol Deputy. Over the years, I have held several positions at the Sheriff’s Office, including Patrol Deputy, where I managed daily investigations and crime scenes, and Canine Handler, where my K9 partner Geiza and I tackled high-priority narcotics cases, apprehended numerous violent suspects and recovered over a million dollars worth of narcotics.

As I advanced to Patrol Sergeant and Patrol Lieutenant, I served as the Patrol Watch Commander and the South District Commander. In these roles, I was responsible for overseeing daily patrol functions, managing crime scenes, allocating manpower, compiling crime statistics, and deploying enforcement resources to areas in need. I have a proven track record of patrol expertise and long-standing leadership abilities.

Since August of this year, I have served as Interim Chief of Police at the Youngsville Police Department. During my tenure, I have focused on addressing citizens’ concerns and working tirelessly to ensure the safety of all our residents and visitors.

In August of 2023, I was unanimously appointed as the Interim Chief of Police by Youngsville city officials. Since then, my efficient and effective leadership has proven my ability to serve as your next Chief of Police. With my extensive experience, proven leadership skills, and commitment to our community, I’m ready to serve as your Chief of Police and lead Youngsville into a better future.

As we approach the election, we have the opportunity to build a stronger, safer Youngsville by electing the right candidate with the right experience. I humbly ask for your support and to vote for Cody Louviere for Youngsville Chief of Police. With your help, we can continue to move forward, ensuring a brighter tomorrow for us all.
